Mini Cooper!!!

Try to pronounce the third name from the top =)

Computer lab
All Apple devices!!! So difficult to use!
Even the keyboard and shortcuts are different!
Today the three of us went to register with a Surgery (Clinic in Malaysian term) nearby. We now can get free consultation but we need to pay for prescriptions if necessary. Anyway their medical system is very confusing. They only open until 6.30pm on Mons to Fris and till 2pm on Saturday. If you're sick on Sunday, too bad! LOL! Also, you have to make appointments before dropping in! SWT! So healthy diet is important here. Apple time =)

Food, Phone, Car =)

Pictures of food again =) These are the dishes we had when we were at Boon Choo's on Sunday:

'Hak wu chiu kai'-Black pepper chicken chow mein...very aromatic =)

This is 'Sing chow mai'- Singapore style vermicelli. This is a weird dish! I love this back home and I was expecting some sourness in the first spoon but here they use curry powder! Potong stim!

The other four dishes...from top left: 'Chap chow'- Mix everything from squid to green pepper with kuey teow, Beef noodle- Real tender beef with taugeh and kuey teow, SWEET and SOUR CHICKEN!!!- with fried rice, sweet and sour pork- with fried rice!!! We also had (white) prawn crackers and hot Chinese tea =)

This is my group member's phone...it is SOO small!!! It doesn't look small here but it is! Like a thicker version of a lighter! Imagine!!!

Press a button at the side and 'floup!' It looks like this...LOL!
She say it is 100+ pounds in stores but she could get it for like 80pounds because her friend works in a phone shop!!! And they have it in....PINK!!!

Nah cowfu...nice? LOL! I only dare to take pictures if car without drivers in it! LOL! One of the many nice rides~
I am now waiting patiently for my Birthday present my mum sent me =) Yes it is a little early but I will wait till the actual date to open it!!! Super excited!!!

Lately...

Another day at Boon Choo's on Sunday. It was great! We had proper Chinese cuisine since we touched down on the English land! It was seriously satisfying but I felt a little shy/embarrassed as Danny was paying for it. The sweetest thing, Boon Choo remembered I love sweet and sour chicken!!! So she ordered that! Isn't she great?! LOL! We had many more dishes. They are all one serving dishes but we ordered like 5 or 6 dishes so everyone can share! I love it! Again, I have to rely on Ching for the pictures as she is the (well known) photographer here. LOL! I think the meal must have cost (a dish is about 4pounds, cheapest from the menu) a lot and it makes me feel bad in a way as they are not getting anything out of this. This makes me think that it is possible that kind souls do surround us =)

Took this while watching the fire works from my room window...LOL!

On Monday, some shitty experience happened and I do not wish to talk about it here! LOL! Thanks to those who cared =) special thanks to my flat mate too! Subo! She was so caring! As she is 28, I guess she is more motherly =) She called me before class and after class!!! Also texted me a few times to ask if I ate or bought medication. So sweet! Anyway, I am feeling better now after some consultation from Boon Choo (she's a nursing lecturer). The Internet connection was down too so I ended up looking at the fire works display out my window. LOL!

Fireworks view from my room window...I missed the part where they 'bloom' LOL!

Today I went cross-country to the supermarkets nearby =p First went to Sainsbury and then to Morrisons. Wanted to go Tesco but the plastic bags here are really thin so the Sainsbury bag is starting to rip!!! So I went back to put down my stuff first. I bought fair amount of stuffs as I went price checking at these three places. I know it sounds crazy but those few pence makes a difference in the long run =) Besides, I needed some exercise! LOL! Later part of the evening, me and Ching went to visit Boon Choo at her office. I asked if she's got any extra containers for me to store my opened food stuff. Of course she does! LOL! She's really generous! She says, "If you have any assignments or notes that you want to print, save it in your USB, bring it and I can print for you when I am here." Coolness! LOL! She's not always here as she lectures at a different campus.

This is how they party...in the kitchen (blue LEDs)! LOL! Also taken from my room window...can't help it. The blasting music was hard to ignore! This was for Guy Fawkes celebration I think but they party all the time anyway...LOL!

Fire works and food =)

Finally handed in one assignment. Next week is reading week for some modules so again, the halls are very quiet. I take that back. Since 4.45pm there are fire works everywhere and it is half past 10 now and it is still going on! This is what the Guy Fawkes celebration (fire works celebration) is all about. Interesting huh?! I have never experienced such long hours of fire works in my whole life and it is continuous! As my flat is quite high up and there are no obstruction, I can actually see the fireworks from my room window =) The fire works is not set from one specific place, it is everywhere! LOL! So it is *Bim bam Boom-ing* outside and I am in my room trying to focus my attention on Freud. I have not been studying much lately and this is not good! The cold is catching up to my stomach and I have been eating more frequently than usual! Double not good! However, I shall eat as I would not want to experience the horrible gastric attacks HERE! In a foreign land!

The pretty colours in the sky!!!

Which brings me to talk about food! Today I had a sinful brunch! I had to finish my bananas and I did not want to eat it the same way I did yesterday. I went creative. I sliced a banana in half and pan fry it a little with honey. Bad idea! It became very soft! LOL! So I laid it on a sliced of toasted bread. As for the other slice of toasted bread, I spread strawberry jam and laid another sliced banana on it. Why is it sinful you ask? I topped both slices of bread with...vanilla ice cream! Well, I couldn't leave the tub of ice cream in the freezer forever...right?! LOL! It was really cheap too...a huge tub, I think it was 1 litre, for 85pence!

My brunch =p

As for my dinner tonight, I made fried rice =) first fried rice since I got here. I had fine beans in my fridge and I need to use them. I bought two cans of lean corned beef a week ago as it was hell cheap! Two cans for 89pence!!! So I bought but I had no idea how to use it! LOL! So I asked my aunt and she say "use it to cook fried rice...very nice!". So I decided to try. The first spoon instantly prime me to gobble down the whole bowl of rice! I am so gonna cook that again tomorrow =p I am planning to go Tesco tomorrow to check out if the deal is still on!!! Have to stock up on that! LOL! Shoot! Talking bout food makes me hungry again! I shall stop here!

Fried rice: lean corned beef, onion and fine beans =)

More food...LOL!

My meals for yesterday. Supposed to upload it yesterday but after class I was already half dead! Then I had to rush out some assignments and cook my dinner. I basically ate at 8.30pm!!! SWT! It was satisfying thou! Seriously...I used the white sauce recipe my Aunt Janet gave me and I added some Cheddar cheese in it so it's like cheese sauce =) I over made my dinner and I had to leave half of it for today's brunch! LOL! Anyway...here goes...

My Brunch =) Three slices of bread and a cuppa English tea.
Banana and honey on one slice.

Banana and Nutella was on the other two =)

Mel's extravaganzza: Pasta, *honey herbs pan fried chicken*, broccoli and fine beans in white cheese sauce =)

My flattie's leftovers...Poor penne, they'll end up in the bin.

Ooo!!!
