Bits and Pieces of Fun =)

I find this interior design really inspiring! Being a person in love with colours, I just had to take a shot.
At Cosmo Theater, Berjaya Times Square.
And yes, I have to be in it!
Nice PINK Hibiscus taken at my mum's friend's orchard, Ulu Klang.
This whole pool is filled with mountain water! Super cooling!
Flavoured jelly from Taman Mega Pasar Malam.Fried Chicken from Fatty Crab Restaurant.
Mum is really enjoying it =p
Drooooollllsssss!
Hawker style fried rice. Very...fragrant? =p
Okay this is embarrassing but I am certainly one of those that fit in to the group of 'Malaysians that would drive to elsewhere just to get what they want to eat/drink/consume'. Wait till you try this baby and you will do the same! Chocolate Lounge's Fair Lady Frap is ORGASMIC!!! I was at Damansara Intan and I made my mum drive me to OneU just to pick that up. LOL! (I do think that I am spoilt...sometimes la =p)
Yesterday we went to Seed Cafe at Mid Valley for my family doctor's daughter's 1st Birthday =)
The mom made this cake! Like...WHAT?! *jealous*
And the cake covering is not even icing, it is melted marshmallows!!!
The Birthday Girl =)
The family: Dr. Lim, Mrs. Lim, Baby JL, Brother JJ and Grandpa.
Mum at the scene =)
Me at the scene =) LOL!
This place is so cool! Half SEED clothes and half cafe =)

Nice setting.

i know my post is damn random! LOL! That's what happens when I'm lagging =p

Double news =)

Yesterday it was my brother's Birthday. Happy 23rd Birthday! LOL! Kinda slow in updating blogs but I did celebrate with him =) Thanks to the jet lag (external LOC =p), I totally forgot his birthday was coming up in the next two days! That was on Tuesday. I went to the gym and with the excellent treadmill that could only go up to 4.9km/h max, I fast walk and could actually write and draw at the same time! So I took down notes on what to do and how to do it in two days!

Everything planned out so next step, get the venue. I know who his boss was but I don't have his number. I remember my brother gave me his name card. I called up his office and enquire =p Venue sorted! Next, food! Special thanks to Nick and Su Yee for accompanying me to MV to get the stuff.

The day of his Birthday, he went out to work at 8ish (I assume). I woke up at 9.30am and head towards the kitchen to begin. Ohh before that, the night before I slept at 3.30am just to finish his "Happy 23rd Birthday" sign =p So yes, cooking...just 10minutes in and the gas went out on me! *ROAR* Luckily there was a spare gas tong! One problem...how on earth to change the head?! Gas is deadly if mishandled! And no, I am not ready to die! Hence, *riiiiiiing* Nick =p Thank you so much babe for flying to my place after my call! LOL! Food done!

I was a little behind time with all the cooking but it seemed okay. Got his colleagues to kick him out of the office while we quickly set up the place. Then we were waiting for him to come in and get surprised himself =p the video is proper funny! He did looked blurr: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=136009778999&subj=532728999

It was all good. Thanks to everyone for making it happen =) Special thanks to Nick (yes, again) for helping me out so much! You're the best bud a person could ever have! =)

*******************************
That aside. Yesterday I was also busy sending out emails and application forms for jobs. Yes, I have started after just a week here. Today, I got a call from Children's Technology Workshop =) I was invited for an interview tomorrow! Wheeeeeeee! Wish me luck! =) I have always wanted to work in an environment with children and youths as I am planning to take my Masters in Child Psychology or Youth Counseling.
It struck me how important initiative is....which lack in many these days. People, especially university students or fresh graduates should take the initiative to plan their future. Yes, live life as it is but planning a few years ahead is important too. Imagine having a life in the future but lack finances or shelter...hmm not a pleasant sight. Then again, I am not saying you have to bust your as$ for a million dollar making job before you can enjoy. Enjoy and have fun but at the same time make sure you have something standby for emergency use. Being at 20, I feel that it is so important to be prepared for my future. Everything is getting more and more expensive (A bottle of Nutella cost RM23!!! I can't get over that!)!
Sometimes it makes me feel sad to see people around me, friends, who have absolutely no idea what they want in life. Just living by the day itself, having debts, depending entirely on loans, have a part-time job that is no way related to their future career. It is just sad. Maturity, exposure and initiative is so important!
"I wish you knew what you want. I wish you knew I wanted to help. I wish you knew how important your future is. Then again, they are all my wishes"

Ching Yee turned 21!

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY, CHING YEE!!!
Ching Yee and the mini cake (and a matrix girl behind the scene =p)
Woke up this morning to make a small cake for Ching Yee's 21st. We planned the 'cake cutting' ceremony on Sunday but it's kinda sad not having a cake on your birthday? She probably doesn't care but I DO! LOL! I just feel that people should have a pleasant day on their Birthday and that includes having a cake! LOL! I like the colour of the batter =p
The final product =)
I didn't have candles so...a cute kitty pic?! LOL!
I know she'll dig it =p

The short video...btw, I didn't play any prank on her. There wasn't a right timing and also because of some other reasons =) LOL!

Parcel, Parcel, I heart U!

Tuesday morning I received my mum's parcel =D Yes, another one! LOL! I literally jumped out of bed when I heard the intercom buzz at 10-ish (the usual time the postman comes) and ran out to answer it. "I have a parcel for Melissa?" *Swoosh* I ran down in my skimpy PJs...LOL! Kidding. Anyway, as I was runing back up the stairs (because it was freezing! Skimpy PJs...remember?!) I counted the amount of stamps...RM22.50. Wow! I can buy a top maybe even a pair of shoes with that amount in Malaysia!
One, two, three...11, RM2 stamps!
Awww...Disney Princess Xmas card =D
As usual, there's always a surprise in there.
Someting we take for granted in Malaysia...Mai Chang! **************************
Yesterday morning I was expecting my birthday parcel from my bessies (they told me it was coming =p). As usual, the intercom rang at 10-ish. *Fiak* I flipped the duvet away and ran to my room door. Then I heard my flat mate running out of her room and out the flat door. Ceh, false alarm =.= It was her friend waiting to go uni with her. I went back to bed and slept for another 2 hours (till 12pm that is >.<). LOL!
**************************
Today at 10-ish the intercom rang! No flat mate running out. Hence, *fiak*, *click, tak* (unlocking my door), "Hello?", "It's the postman here", *swoosh*. LOL! This time as I was running up, I was empathizing at the poorly dented box =.= Very excited to open it!!!
Boxy Dumpty fell from the cargo?!
Awwwwwwwwww! Hot PINK!!!Camwhore session! (It goes well with my waist belt =D)
You guys know me well! Heart!

I was looking for something like that lately!
Nicky, Gracey, SuSu, I HEART you people!!!
And not forgetting Serene for the presents too!
Although my dissertation is mentally and physically killing me, you guys added Petronas in me...LOL! *Hugs* *Kisses*

Someone turned 23!

I couldn't remember when was the last time I actually baked a cake! Well actually, I think the last was for Ching Yee's 20th early this year. Man, it's been ages (months =p)! My passion has not run out but time is just not enough. So is the ingredients and utensils needed! Anyway, I baked an egg-less (not because of allergy reasons, just didn't have any in my stock) chocolate cake with olive oil (because I didn't have enough butter). Turned out not bad considering I didn't have a whisk (manual or electric...had to use a fork!), no proper measuring cup, and not even a kitchen scale. How I did it? I'm still wondering! LOL!
I am just smart enough to use Smarties as decoration for the cake and hence, not enough space to put on the balance of the words =.= Anyhow, it looks colourful (like the way I like it =p) and doesn't taste that bad so *pats on the back* Good job! Who's Birthday?!
"Happy 23rd Birthday, Michael!"
If only all the words could fit in on the cake =p
