No more waking up at 7am, swallowing breakfast in the morning, running out to catch the bus, and so on. Work is now over. Honestly, it is kind of sad...I would really miss it. Despite all of the above, I still like that job. Anyway, I was given a little farewell! We had Victorian sponge cake with strawberries, Chocolate log, and Lemon Cupcakes. It was DELICIOUS! Really thoughtful. My manager gave a little speech and said I had been a 'STAR' =) Awwwww.
Right after work that day, I had to rush to Bonda Cafe, a Malaysian Restaurant to buka puasa with the rest. Lately I have been really close with my housemates and the 'Wood Green Gang'. LOL. Wish I moved in earlier. Anyway, we all had our dose of Malaysian food (totally yummeh but mahal!) and then we decided to...do something.
That night, I polluted my lungs. LOL! We went to Marble Arch/Edgware...a street full of night life. That whole street is filled with Arabian Restaurants and....Shi-Sha =p Yes, I did it! I was freaking scared to begin with but EVERYONE was smoking, even the most innocent girl smoked! Hence, peer pressure la...LOL! (High external LOC! =p) We had three Shi-ShaS for 10 of us but one didn't smoke at all, he had migraine. So the 9 of us shared Apple, Grape, and Mixed Fruit flavoured Shi-Sha. I don't know how many puffs I swallowed! Meaning, no smoke came out when I take in. It take quite some time for me to learn. LOL! It was really fun but I didn't feel anything (supposed to feel 'high' I heard?!) =.=
Anyway, we were there smoking till pass midnight...again, we had to run to catch the last train (yes, it happened before...with the same group of friends =p). When we heard the announcement about the last train arriving, we raaaaaan like a bunch of hooligans...actually, everyone there was running. LOL! If we missed the train, I have no idea what bus or how many buses to take to get back home! We never learn =p Then we reached the tube station nearby our house. To get to our house, we need to pass by Asda. So we went in as we needed to get ingredients for kuih raya. We shopped at 1am in the morning till 2am =.= walked 15minutes in the freezing cold weather back home. Then I Sahur-ed with my housemates. I was so hungry that I cooked maggie goreng at that hour!
Yesterday (Saturday) we woke up at 12pm and started preparing the kitchen. Kak Zela was VERY prepared. She had her laptop and speakers ready in the kitchen. When we were about to start, the songs were about to start too...when it begin, Fuh~ Semangat Hari Raya! LOL! Kak Zela played Hari Raya songs and 'Balik Kampung' songs. It totally reminded me of Kamdar in Malaysia during this season. LOL! Anyway, we made LOADS of cookies. I think few hundred Almond London cookies, three dozen peanut butter cookies, Mexican buns (aka RotiBoy), and a huge butter cake. I swear, it would make a great commercial for Malaysia. The ladies of different races in PJs baking Raya cookies with Raya songs. So the muhibah! LOL!
Pictures soon to come =) Hanni is going back tomorrow =( The house will not be the same without her. I will be flying back to Malaysia in 10days...and I haven't packed a thing! Sei lorh!!!!!!
Just a little reminder of my silly encounters, be it happy or sad, exciting or dull, crazy or brilliant...I have it all here!

The unexpected.
I have been really busy lately. Mainly with work and a minimal amount of time thinking what the hell am I going to do with my things here in London! I am still looking for a solution.
Knowing my days in London are getting shorter, I did the most unexpected thing EVER! I went to a...bush doof?! -my Aussie cousin said. LOL! No idea what it is called but it is FUN! I would call it pary bawah-tanah but...yeah...kinda scary when you think of it =p So here's the story:
On Saturday I woke up at 2pm (yes, it was very late), washed up and got dressed, all prepared to go out. Then I got a bombastic news and it spoilt my whole day! Didn't feel like going out at all! My housemate, Brindha saw my 'reaction' towards the news and she invited me to go out with her and the rest of the Wood Green gang (another group of Malaysians). I agreed.
We went to Enfield to get a dozen Krispy Kreme because Brindha's friend wanted to get some. We got one complimentary original glazed doughnuts each as the light on the signboard was turned on. Wooot! After that we went to East Ham, an hour tube ride away to feast on an Indian buffet for 5pounds. The food was fantastic! Proper Indian curry, super spicy with tender mutton and chicken. Loves! I even had Payasem =p some dessert thing with boiled milk, sago, sugar and something else. It was fun.
After that they were all discussing where to go. FYI, by the time we finished our dinner, it was 11pm. Hence we took a tube back. However, for some reason, we got stuck in the tube twice =.= the first time due to some medical emergency from one of the passengers, the second was due to a track failure. Wasted so much time! While we were in the tube, one of our friend was trying to get hold of the 'party bwh-tnh' location. He got a call and it was in Oakwood, which is about 5minutes bus ride away from my place. We all decided to go BUT we had to go back home first as we need to change our attire.
I got a call from them and they said, 'Don't wear so nice ah! No high heels, no skirts. Wear trousers.' Owh-kay. LOL! Hence, me and Brindha went out at 3am to catch a bus to meet the rest. The road was super quiet! Once we reached, we begin our journey into the forest. It was pitch black! They brought torch light so one guy was in front with the torch, us four girls in the middle holding hands like UHU-glued together, and another guy behind us with a torch. We can barely see few meters ahead as it was really dark. It was very spooky. I kept thinking what if someone jump out of the bushes and rob us! LOL! *touchwood* It didn't happen =p
We walked and walked and walked till we finally hear some *boom boom boom* the bass =) Then we still have to walk about 10minutes? It was really IN the forest, totally reminded me of jungle treking in Malaysia! We got closer and closer and finally we can see laser lights in the bushes. LOL! Then there's a small hole in the bushes a.k.a. the 'door'. We have to bend down to get in (for free) and the smell of w**d is sooooo strong! Basically people are dancing and smoking and drinking and just chilling in general. They have 'things' there which you normally won't see on the streets or in public. You name it, they have it! *faham2 la* They even have fire performances! Sadly it was too dark to take pictures. We danced for a bit and then we found a spot a little further away from the 'dance floor' and we lay down some newspaper before sitting down.
We hung out in the jungle with great trance beats till about 6am in the morning. LOL! The sky was already bright by the time we left and the party was still on! We were so hungry and yet we have to walk 30minutes out of the location! Got a bus and reached home at 7am. Makan, mandi, and tidur till 4pm. Great day! LOL! Totally an experience. I took a video of the party but it was still quite dark.

Life in this house is damn happening! Sushi night tomorrow, Satay House to buka puasa on Thursday night, Almond London (kuih raya) night on Friday. LOL!

Urban Fete Party.
This is a long one but mostly pictures (I hope =p) LOL! Okay to start off, the random and super delayed food post. LOL! I don't know if I've mentioned about their sausages here...it is way different than Malaysia. Firstly, it is purely minced meat which means it is super MEATY (*hint hint* Grace =p) unlike the ones in Malaysia which are processed. The sausages in Malaysia are called frankfurters here. So yeah. I bought a pack of sausage with some herbs thing in it...lovely =) However, I have to finish it by this week before moving in to my new place in Southgate. Reason? Respect. Anyway...can't remember when but I had...
Two sunny side up, two oven baked sausages (you can fry it but baking is more healthy =p) and a random tortilla wrap.
Packed away most of my jewellery that was on display in my room (hardly wear them!) and those above are to be given away. For some reason, earrings are not my thing anymore. Maybe because I have a big hair now so it doesn't matter even if I wear them, it's hidden =s
I am super excited to tell my super long story of today's event =) I was involved in the Junction 49 project in my uni couple of months back...Banana Madness??? Rings a bell? LOL! So yes, it is a volunteering organization by TimeBank and it is super interesting. Basically we are given a chance to make a change by volunteering to conduct a project to raise awareness for anything. So today is the Urban Fete celebration where all Junction 49ers from different Universities, TimeBank staffs, and even school children were present to celebrate our achievement for the year. One word...AWESOME!

One word...AWESOME!
Sadly I won't be here long, I'd certainly love to volunteer in more projects. Maybe next year =)
This is where it was held...In Proud Camden Gallery, in Camden Stables Market (a little like Pasar Seni).
The stables are pure CUTE! Super country-like.
Artistic zebra high up.
The bar. It was 'closed' until the school children leave, it resumed business.
Here, (alcoholic) drinks are the only thing that could keep a party going.
The stables are divided to couple of statement projects..this is the Share stable occupied by the Swapshop project. Basically people bring items they do not want anymore and swap it with someone else. A way to save the earth =) I wonder if it will work in Malaysia! I might try to run something like this in Malaysia *inspired*
This is the create room. I had so much fun in here! They prepared loads of recycled tote bags and fabric pens. So we are allowed to design the bags to our heart content. Yes, it is so my thing! LOL! Wish I had more time thou.
The front of my first bag...'Flower power'
The back, 'Girl power'. I am not looking down on men but just voicing out on behalf of the women who are stereotypically looked down on.
The front of my second bag...sadly, I didn't have time for the back. I wanted to write "...because she is always right!" LOL! I will do it when I have the time. Thus, this bag was not well decorated =p but you get my point! LOL!
This is the Change stable where people are given a chance to make a change and there were various posters on how people are making a change.
This is the Debate stable where people are given a chance to debate on what they think about volunteering and whether it has changed people's life or not. Overall the event was really nice...they had loads of food (didn't take picture because 'malu') and unlimited flow of drinks!
Then I was given this random card holder before I left. Oh oh oh! The event was from 1-5pm and they said there would be an after part at an 'undisclosed' venue...well until the end of this party that is. Amazingly, I had so much fun till I stayed till the end! So they told us the venue for the after party...it was in a bar opposite the Stables Market. I was with my friend, Abhi (who did the project with me) and we went to the after party.
To the after partehh!!!
Abhi.
The after party was awesome because we are given complimentary two alcoholic drinks and two soft drinks! Clearly, I only managed to drink three =p
This was the devil that got me drunk! Seriously, I was dozing off in the tube on the way back! It wasn't JUST a Corona! I had Vodka orange before that. Hence the elevated heartbeat! When I reach home, I straight away dozed off in bed! Woke up couple of hours later and made maggie mee (for supper). LOL! Anyway, the bar was a nice place too.
We have a DJ and a performer (the guy in red) both Junction 49er. The guy in red is a rapper and he wrote an album full of songs rapping about knife crime and how we should put a stop to it. Meaningful.
The view of the top balcony were we hung out. The sun was directly in my face. I felt it burning but I still sat there because...socializing marh...LOL! Wonder if I am tad bit darker!
The Stables Market from the Bar's open top seating area.
Yah, awesome view lah! And nice weather too...so the panas!
Camden is well known for it's artistic statements. Hence, I love it! LOL!
The signboards are 3D. How cool is that!
Woot!
Need I say more?!
Double woot! LOL!
Here, (alcoholic) drinks are the only thing that could keep a party going.
Finally, the booze started to kick in...I was damn merah! Actually I was pink due to the alcohol la but then I was malu because I was pink kan so it became red. Hence, I wasn't red due to the alcohol *denial* LOL! All in all it was great. We even made some friends...all the way from Leicester! Oh oh oh and we played this board game with them...it's called Four in a row. It filled our time there. I won twice in a row! *bangga* LOL! I think I put on weight just today...with the alcohol and all the food (chicken wraps, sandwiches, finger food, cupcake!, and FIVE choc chip cookies-it was too delicious to miss out on it!!!). Eeek!
Back to work tomorrow. Damn, forgot to make lunch. Too lazy to anyway =p Will woop something up in the morning.

More cooking!
Mummy says cooking will release stress. I think it does too...although it takes up alot of time =s
Yes, I know it's supposed to puff up! But the middle bit touched the sauce inside so it couldn't puff =(
But it's not too bad =p
Inspired my MasterChef (UK cooking competition), mashed potatoes with minced carrots topped with melted cheddar in boiled cabbage cases.
This is what happen when you watch too much cooking shows. Media influences =s

A step I took
I might regret this...or I might not. A step I wouldn't want to take at this point of time. Heck, Christmas booze will take it all away! =D
Thanks to assignments, dissertation and TVB Drama-The Gem of Life! I know...80 over episodes! LOL!
Part of the weight off my shoulder is beginning to settle in my heart. But I am glad it's not on my shoulders for it has bring me down to someone I am not. I promise, it will not stay in my heart for long either...Yes, I did it!

What happened?!
Diva Britney 'causes chaos' backstage at The X Factor.
Britney Spears has reportedly proven herself to be the biggest diva ever to appear on The X Factor after snubbing the contestants and refusing to meet Simon Cowell backstage.
The singer, who appeared on Saturday night's show, also turned down the dressing room provided and instead insisted on using Simon Cowell's private green room.
Britney's minders banned Simon Cowell from chatting to the star in her room ahead of the show and the judges were forced to grab a quick photo with her in the corridor, reports The Sun.
An X Factor insider told the paper: "You have never seen so many heavies. Even around the judges' dressing rooms were sealed off by Britney's security people. When the judges went to meet her, her security wouldn't let anyone past."
Britney also shocked the show's judges by not watching the contestants' performances. Previous guests including Take That and even famous diva Mariah Carey spent time mentoring the acts but Britney didn't even watch the show backstage.
When Dermot asked her what she thought of this year's final five she said: "Yes, awesome, thank you. I met so many people, the place is beautiful."
Britney has also been criticised by viewers after miming throughout the performance of her latest single - the judges gave her a standing ovation even though other acts who have appeared on the series have sung live.

Clearly, she is not back yet. Disappointing!

X-Factor 08
Just got back from BC's place. We went out for lunch today and it was a buffet lunch. OMFG! It was sooooo nice! It was a good price too! 4.95pounds (the price of one portion of fried rice is about 3.80pounds at Chinese take-aways) per person! They had Peking duck, delicious ribs, sweet sour chicken (hearts but can't beat Msia's), and many more! I even had ice-cream!!! We left at 3pm..that's 2hours spent there! LOL!
After that we went window shopping and head back to their place to prepare for...X-Factor! LOL! This is the first episode I watch on tv of this season...because co-incidentally Britney Spears was performing =p LOL! Anyway, the contestants were supposed to sing two songs, the first is a Britney song and the second is an American Classic song. Everyone did bad on the Britney song choice. It was so much harder for the guys, Eoghan (the pretty boy) and JLS [who're "Vain" (Chan, 2008), "Manufactured" (Ho,2008) and "Gay" (Lim, 2008)] because Britney's songs are very girly.
Anyhow, it got me thinking...no matter how bad she screwed up her life, there could only be one Britney Spears! Proven! People can't sing her songs as good as herself! Alexandra and Ruth are very powerful singers in the competition but they couldn't even do it. Yes, Britney screwed up her life but she'll still have a place in my heart...I was a fan of hers when I was young! Sentimental! LOL! So yes, people say she is a bad singer but I will seriously have to disagree with that! Her voice is one of a kind (feminine, seducing, distinct) that no one can imitate her or sing her songs any better. Her swift dance moves (when she was in the lime light) makes it even better! She performed in X-Factor today and boy, I was shocked!
She did bad! Like her other tour performances she did in France and somewhere. She did the exact same choreography and very little dance moves. Her performances now is somehow lacking passion and energy. Sad to say really...I thought she is back with more to show (I don't mean physically, she's already doing it!) in her performances. Well she's gone through a lot and it is tough for her, I respect that. But lets hope she'll produce another platinum album?

Anyway, Ruth got voted out. Sad. She's got strong vocals but like she says, it is just the beginning for her. You go girl! xx
Work 'later today'...ergh! Smelly shoes!
